More trench drench

Scanned two more pencil pages, and improved the first page (previous post) a little bit - head of the guy on the second panel. Wish could do these pages quicker, but I'm busy with preparing for my art school exam in early July. I decided to go for painting major, not animation; will talk about that in next post.

The Trench French

Finally picked a story to work on, developed layouts, wrote script and started pencilling. This is the first page. Gee, I should do something about lettering or do it with a computer.

He reads

One piece I did couple months ago, but could only get it back last week from a studio where I did preparatory classes.

Yet another character concept: Padre with an itch to right the wrong.

Another noir detective thing

This one is like a character concept for a comic I want to do on a police detective Alyosha who works in an unnamed city in socialist Yugoslavia, where he fights crime and Party meddling from inside the force. I sorta peeked into the work of Hermann and others, I like European style a lot, you know - the dark gritty look, crosshatching, etc.
