July is a sad month
I found this video while browsing the YouTube. Nothing special, just a beautiful woman singing a traditional Bosnian song and playing a guitar. In her bathroom, mind you, probably to get better acoustics. The sadness in her voice made me think of the unfathomable torment Bosnian women were targeted with. And yet, they emerge pure and graceful, just like this anonymous lady in the video. Couldn't think of a better tribute.
More drawings coming up...

Sly on guitar
I find Sylvester Stewart (a.k.a. Sly Stone) to be one of the most enigmatic rock stars. Back in the heydays, he could pack just about any venue he would tour (Medison Sq. Guarden, being just one of them), he would top the charts during the late 60s and early 70s, he is known to have exerted major influence on stellar performers of latter day, such as Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, etc, AND YET, nowadays he remains largely forgotten. In addition, Sly was made infamous for his cocaine addiction that led to the band's (i.e., Sly and the Family Stone's) demise. However, the historical influence of this complicated man cannot be ignored; together with George Clinton and James Brown, Sly made a major contribution to forging a new musical style called Funk.
Here's a selection of his live performances on TV:
