Comics OK for Painting Dept at the Academy?!
Apparently, according to my friends in the know who paid me a visit today, its OK to include comic art (even doodles such as those two below) in my portfolio. They said that I should select several pieces and paste them on a large sheet of paper so that it my count as a single submission. This came as a surprise to me, because I thought they consider comic art as something of a heresy in these institutions where they teach classical art.
